We have an active civil litigation practice in all federal, state and local courts throughout the Hudson Valley. We also participate in arbitrations, mediations, and government administrative proceedings. Our trial attorneys handle not only general commercial and business related disputes, but also have in-depth experience in the more specialized areas of construction law, public works projects, debtor-creditor relations, probate, trusts and estates litigation, commercial real estate disputes, corporate litigation, employment law, administrative law, and appellate practice.

Consistent with our philosophy that litigation should be a last resort, we work with our clients to explore, whenever feasible, alternative dispute resolution methods. A significant portion of our construction industry practice includes reviewing and preparing agreements for contractors, as well as project owners and advising our clients during the course of the project with an eye toward reducing the risk of disputes and litigation.

We take a similar approach in advising our commercial clients on all aspects of their business activities, including assistance with respect to employment policies and practices, compliance with state and federal labor laws and regulations, and the resolution of commercial disputes.
